The Zein Abubakar Memorial

Abubakar Zein Abubakar (1956–2026) was a prominent Kenyan human rights defender, constitutional reform pioneer, and EALA legislator. He helped shape Kenya’s democratic transition through Uraia and the 2010 Constitution, later serving as a political strategist before passing away in Nairobi on July 9, 2026. Friends and family met at Alliance Française – Nairobi to celebrate the Zein they loved.
