Climate Justice
Kenya’s climate justice explores the broad scope of ecological balance, climate crisis and the geographical, social, racial and land issues we face. Achieving climate justice starts with acknowledging and working alongside people in the counties and the region who are unfairly and disproportionally impacted by floods, drought, changing weather patterns and overall climate crisis. Climate justice recognizes the disproportionate impacts of climate change on low-income households, and minorities, the marginalized or otherwise vulnerable populations, people and places least responsible for the problem. It means putting equity and human rights at the core of climate decision-making and actionable policies on climate change.
