Kenya Food Composition Tables 2018

The Ministry of Health and Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation with support from the Food and Agriculture
Organization of the United Nations (FAO) developed the Kenya Food Composition Tables (KFCT) in 2018.
Food composition databases provide a scientific base for understanding the inherent nutrient quality of foods
and are important in several fields such as community and clinical nutrition, public health and education,
agriculture and food manufacturing.
