Zarina Patel
Zarina Patel is a socialist feminist and an author. She has published five books which record the histories of the South Asian community in Kenya from a national perspective. She is the Managing Editor of AwaaZ magazine which focuses on Minority and Diversity issues and is in its 21st year of publication. In 1991 she single-handedly campaigned (successfully) for the preservation of Jeevanjee Gardens in Nairobi.
