Sarah Jilani
Sarah Jilani is a Lecturer in English at City, University of London, specialising in postcolonial literatures and the cinemas of Africa and Asia. Her research examines anticolonial aesthetics, political consciousness, and the legacies of empire. Also a freelance writer for ArtReview, Times Literary Supplement, The Economist and the Guardian, she is author of Subjectivity and Decolonisation in the Post-Independence Novel and Film (Edinburgh University Press, 2024) and a 2021 BBC/Arts and Humanities Research Council New Generation Thinker.
