And the loser of #ElectionsKE2017 is… The People.

The poor plebeian people of Kenya time and time again are worked in to a political fervour of religious proportion by the elites, with the same old promise of “Freedom” from the terror of grinding poverty and all manner of ills that were created by the self-same elites and their imperial sponsors in the first place. All that effort only to find themselves not only more exposed to more evils but with a heavier yoke around their necks than they had going in to #ElectionsKE. And to compound their punishment they will immediately be relegated to political irrelevance, becoming spectators for the five years preceding the next election, as the elites begin #ElectionsKE2022 campaigns, divvy out the spoils of victory in #ElectionsKE2017, continue to gorge on our children’s inheritance, pillage public resources, and sell us, their own people and future generations, into economic slavery.

Then again this is Democracy; the God we’ve all prayed to, but that has ultimately failed us.

“…less than a century of full-blown Democracy has resulted in steadily increasing moral degeneration, family and social disintegration, and cultural decay in the form of continually rising rates of divorce, illegitimacy, abortion, and crime” on the social front. Grinding poverty, unemployment, debt-interest slavery, Government failure, insecurity and perpetual wars on the economic and political front. Apt description of our reality, right? Actually, this is a paraphrased excerpt of Hans-Hermann Hoppe’s description of America, the paragon of Secular Democracy in his year 2001 treatise “Democracy; The God That Failed”. Uncannily similar, right? It would be, given we are deploying the same Ideological Operating System id est Secular Capitalist Democracy. Secularism being the doctrinal basis, with Capitalism as the economic system emerging from Freedom of Ownership. Democracy being its adopted political system.

Then again this is Democracy; the God we’ve all prayed to, but that has ultimately failed us.

The massive infrastructure undertakings promised are now known to be directed at improving the efficiency of Capital. The “development projects” submitted to the plebeian masses as “for their own economic upliftment” are actually oil on the grinder they are yoked to.

David Ndii articulately explained this on 30th January 2016 in his Daily Nation article: Mega-projects and hollow men. But sadly, probably out of desperation for change or suffering an ideological blind spot in his intellectual vision, went on to contradict himself on 3rd December 2016 in his Daily Nation article: Anyone is a better alternative to looting Jubilee, possibly his rationale for joining the NASA brigands in their bid to seize the high ground and take their turn at pillaging the villages in the valleys below.

Let it be clear that there is nothing wrong with an election. An election is simply a political tool, that can be applied to resolve different kinds of strictly choice-based issues at different levels of society, family, institution, tribe, or nation. The issue is an election being the end-all be-all in a game where the choice is between being sacrificed on the altar of Mammon by your blood brother, or by your brother by another mother, both of whom are Mammonists.

All involvement in politics has been reduced to a single impotent action by people everywhere every five years, branded as public participation. And this action is to endorse a small group of self-nominated individuals to decide and act on behalf of the public to calibrate the socio-political and economic space for the next five years. Remember as you elect “your representative” he is under no “real” obligation to listen to you or act in your interests for the next five years.

It is not that you are obtuse and they are astute; it is just the nature of the beast called Secular Democracy. Secularism is the creedal diktat imposed upon all of humanity by Western Imperialism based on a statement wrongly attributed to the Prophet of Allah Issa (as) known to Christendom as Jesus stating, “Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s”. Presumably by this statement, the domain of Man was cast by the elites as separate of the domain of God and the Democratic system of governance was adopted from the Greeks as the model upon which to order society socio-politically, once society became theirs to order.

All involvement in politics has been reduced to a single impotent action by people everywhere every five years, branded as public participation.

While imperialism in all its forms is vicious, the political system which has been sold to us called Democracy is rationally inconsistent, doctrinally contradictory, systemically flawed and completely manifestly false in terms of how it presents (of misrepresents) itself. And you only have to read Robert A. Dahl’s attempt at apologetics for it in On Democracy where his repeated attempts to define it are really descriptions or wishes of what it should be. And the pursuit of this Utopian folly (not my words) is fatiguing us, causing humanity untold misery and loss to a heartless elites’ delight.

And this is why victories by revolutionary Political Parties with Islamic intention or ideology are immediately overthrown by the Secular Order e.g. Islamic Salvation Front of Algeria, Hamas in the WestBank, Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt are examples of legitimate political parties that submitted to the Democratic Process, Won and were immediately removed using military means.

This crippling reality is Democracy the system, as it is, and not as we will it to be. Kenyans did not discuss and decide to invade Somalia at any point, just like Americans did not endorse the invasions of the same Somalia nor Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria. It was decided and executed, then brought to them to politically sanitise through ratification on their behalf by the same “democratic” political institution they elected but have no control over.

Secular Democracy destroys potential for real political participation by creating a powerful false illusion of politics, manifest in a single ceremonial game of bloody musical chairs every five years. Secularism which is a void in terms of values by virtue of being built on “Freedoms”, determines that the People will through Democratic process calibrate this void. Therefore, every material aspect of social order, will hence be determined through Democratic process. What is Marriage? What is Education? Why Marry? Why Educate? What is Property? Why Own? And on and on… Given that the reality of society is that it does not govern itself, it is governed by influential people or groups. Then this means that a highly organized group that consists of highly aware individuals under Secularism, will act as God. Deciding right and wrong, legal and illegal. It will then mobilize the masses to promulgate the influentials’ decided values through “Democratic   process”. But this farcical process does not stop there, it goes on to do several insidious things simultaneously:

  • It disempowers the people and at the same time creates a highly pressurized gas chamber, as any and all issues, some of which require long periods of public reflection and engagement, are thrown open for presumably final resolution through a single political choice (which is not really a choice). This is what makes real elections, where there is real need for real change highly explosive events in all democracies, and this is the trap China avoided in rejecting America’s lead toward universal suffrage, ultimately dodging a bullet that would have created social upheaval of a scale it would never have survived. No land mass or population of China’s size, can be held together by a political system that by definition, is antithetical to political, intellectual, economic and social holism.
  • As it disempowers the people, it on the other hand empowers the elites. These very real issues become bait various interests and interest groups that are ready and organized can use to further entrench themselves and their interests in the social body politic.
  • It ensures politics will never happen, and given that it is through politics that societies are formed a cogent social body will never be realised.

And the public is instinctively aware of this, as many ordinary people exhausted by elections deride them in spite of participating in them. The 2017 election was a malevolent imperial and tribal war loaded into a single benign election. A two-layered covert imperialist war of dispossession between two old rivals, Britain and its old colony America at primary suzerain level, and the tragic and artificial conflict between two families created by the same suzerains, at secondary tribal level. Everyone had to take sides as everyone was given something to lose. It became existential at all levels, winner take all. So, everyone had to show up at the polls.

The Kikuyus had been sold the idea that Raila Amolo Odinga would tear up Property Rights. He is still looked upon with suspicion born of the family’s association with Communist Russia. He helped the cause with his irresponsible statements in Masai land. Kikuyus being mammonists, those incendiary dog-whistle statements made by Raila, probably for short-term political gain, revealed him to be the son of the morning star the ruling home-guard elite had always whispered he was.

Luo’s are a proud Nation with deep Nationalist sentiment. JoLuo have strong self-identity and political awareness. They hunger for rule and dominance, and for this ambition they have been singled out for special humiliation at the hands of the ruling Kikuyu comprador for decades. For JoLuo anything short of rule is slavery, and for this their rallying mantra has been Assata Shakur’s “We have nothing to lose but our chains”.

The Uhuru Kenyatta versus Raila Odinga ticket is some 50 years of tribal rivalry couched in over 100 years of imperial contest for dominance over a mineral rich, geo-strategically placed land mass.

Load these two into the same pressure chamber for single resolution and how could the turnout be anything less than spectacular? Who amongst the sons of Gikuyu, who amongst the sons of Ramogi had a choice? It was treachery not to vote.

But notice, outside of election season, we all without exception are retired. Expected to do nothing “political”. We must just “feed and breed”, “be proud of being…this or the other”, “get rich quick”, “Facebook” or “build the nation”; that is, work. And if you can’t find any work, work harder or become a clown or crooner on ChurchillRAW. The People will never be given paid days off to discuss the issues affecting them or to act politically. Politics after elections is relegated to the domain of the legislators and civil society. During election season, it’s a free for all; after that, any gatherings that have political intention are supposed to be pursued through the same disempowering channel created within the strong false illusion.

Everyone had to take sides as everyone was given something to lose. It became existential at all levels, winner take all. So, everyone had to show up at the polls.

Secular Democracy has revealed itself to be a game of bloody musical chairs played by the heartless elites. Wherein for every round of song and dance that ends in a sitting, their sitting ends with a spell of carnage, blood and death for the rest of us. The people were cornered in to an election they cared not for. The 2017 election, like all other elections was organized to be a duel at high noon between two brigands, usurpers to tribal power, rigged in by their imperial suzerain.

What was the choice for Gikuyu? What was the choice for Ramogi? Other than to double down on his son, what is a father to do? What worldly promise would make a father stand against his own son? What sin? What is a father to do? What was the father to do?

It was the same old script, but something was different, and it wasn’t only the re-alignments at the top. Something else was different this time round, at the bottom. Gikuyu and Ramogi were wiser to the deadly portent of the conspiracies of their captors.

They refused to engage their families in the wanton bloodshed their usurper princelings together with their fiendish suzerain patrons egged on with Orwellian doublespeak. There would be no mass slaughter at the altar of Kratos, the people shunned Protagoras. Even as the tyrannical oligarchs unleashed their vicious tribal militias upon hapless babies by day and plotted against their people by night, Gikuyu and Ramogi, though blind to the nature of the imperial sorcery used by their suzerain to yoke them, and though outmanoeuvred by the political cunning of their brigand sons, would hold back the rest of their children from the snare of the dark forces of tribal bigotry unleashed by Democracy in its season of worship. The showdown by the two interlopers ended with less blood spilt, in spite of them and not because of them. The demons of Democracy will have to quench their vile thirst for blood elsewhere.

Gikuyu, Ramogi and all the other Sons of Adam must dig deep to find the answer to the question of Secular Imperialism cloaked as Capitalist Democracy, as only in the answer to this question will we find our redemption.

Gikuyu and his counterpart Ramogi can temporarily breathe easy, but they will never find peace until they lift the spell their imperial suzerain has cast upon them, that has kept them enslaved for over a century and built an artificial construct of “they versus we” amongst brothers, from the Horn of Africa to Dakar, from the Cape to Cairo. Gikuyu, Ramogi and all the other Sons of Adam must dig deep to find the answer to the question of Secular Imperialism cloaked as Capitalist Democracy, as only in the answer to this question will we find our redemption.

We know who lost in 2017, but losing implies there is a winner. Who is the winner of #ElectionsKE2017? Isn’t it obvious? Does the amount of Sh50 billion in costs to run #ElectionsKE2017 ring a bell? How about Sh500 hundred million in election related legal fees? Tens of millions of dollars in consultancy fees? Hundreds of millions of shillings in tax payer money to political parties and nomination fees? Is it clearer? It is the same winner as before.

The winner of #ElectionsKE2017, is yet again for the umpteenth time… Capitalism.
