Ellen Gruenbaum
Prof Emerita Ellen Gruenbaum, Purdue University, is a cultural medical anthropologist who has published extensively on women’s health in Sudan and FGM/C, including The Female Circumcision Controversy: An Anthropological Perspective. She has been a research consultant for UNICEF in Sudan and Sierra Leone, and contributed to the JME article.
